Travis was born near Salt Lake City and was fortunate to learn where all forms of food come from in his earliest years alongside his grandfather. Travis spent his life climbing up and racing down North America's largest mountains. His passion for heirloom produce was revived working as a chef in Vail, Colorado. His abilities as a Thriving Roots Team Member came through years of solar power installation, resort mountain operations/construction trades, and team leadership. You may remember him as your favorite bicycle tech, your child's downhill race coach, horseback tour guide, or the stranger who helped you find your way out of the backcountry. Travis' dream is to rely upon his neighbors rather than the grocery store, he moved his family to Reno in 2016 and is dedicated to help Thriving Roots turn the Nevada desert into an oasis.
